Bob Johnson's Computer Stuff, Inc. Illustrates its Commitment to Value

Today, April 1, 2009, Bob Johnson's re-stated its commitment to value and provided several examples.

Borrowing from a 25 year old commercial ran by Wendy's®, Bob Johnson's has answered the now famous question shouted by Clara Peller - “WHERE'S THE BEEF?”©. What Clara was referring to in that commercial was the skimpy size of the burger some restaurants serve. More specifically, Pete Teague, Sales and Marketing Manager for Bob Johnson's explained,  “what Clara was really asking about was where is the value in the sandwich? well, at Bob Johnson's delivering on the promise of value (or the beef), is what we are all about”. In today's global and fiercely competitive environment, it's not just about price, it's about the added value customers receive for their hard earned dollars – especially in these economic times. To that point, Bob Johnson, Owner of Bob Johnson's shared five examples of where the company is providing that added value. He points out that:

Many customers want at least a Gig of memory in their laptops. In response, we increased the standard memory in our most popular laptops from 512Meg to 1Gig and did not raise our prices. The value: What you want at no extra charge.

• Customers need their computers when they need them. Period. To help deliver that, at no charge we install remote diagnostic software. The value: Expedited problem resolution and minimized down time due to returns to our shop.
• Many companies charge for handling when it comes to shipment. At Bob Johnson's we simply charge the customer what our  shipper charges us. The Value: We don't try to boost our revenue with a side line business called handling fees.
• Rather than make you search for fixes or send your computer to us, we are now adding a section to our site called “Fixing Common Problems ”. The Value: Sharing our knowledge openly and not trying to profit.
• When we don't have what you need we offer alternative sources to you – even if that means sending you to a competitor if they have the item or a better solution. The Value: What you need when you need it and from the best source available.

Following on to Bob's comments, Jodi Quick, Office Manager at Bob Johnson's said: “We demonstrate value and provide THE BEEF – because we know what we expect from a vendor – and  if we're going to demand it, we have to be sure to deliver it ourselves”.
