Bob Johnson's Computer Stuff sees positive signs and makes investments While early forth quarter sales remained flat, from December 08 through February 09, Bob Johnson's Computer Stuff, Inc. www.bobjohnson.com realized an overall year to year increase in net new sales. “These increases where across the companies portfolio but predominantly in its hardware and repair services lines”, reported Pete Teague, Sales and Marketing Manager at Bob Johnson's. Historically, the company's revenue has originated from the public sector. However, recently the company has experienced (and anticipates continued) increased sales in the general consumer market. This suggests that both grant funding (for the public sector) is loosening and that consumer spending is on the rise. Bob Johnson, President of Bob Johnson's was quoted as saying: “While three months of improved results does not constitute a trend, it does suggest a renewed level of confidence that the economy is moving in a positive direction”. These results combined with the current forecast have positioned the company to confidently invest in both additional human and physical plant resources. The physical plant enhancements are in process now with plans to add additional staff late in the second quarter. The positive results driving these investments will facilitate production and increase efficiency in delivering products and services. “And, if the current state continues, may lead the company to utilize an additional 5K sq. feet of production facility” reported Marisa Johnson, Operations Manager at Bob Johnson's.
